Chrome Ring on rear of cab, 72 Super - Installing one?
 

My 72 Super came with a chrome ring on the back of the cab below the window.

I'm doing a cab swap, but want to keep the chrome ring. What is the best way to install a chrome ring to the rear of a cab that did not come with one originally?

Am I going to have to line up and weld in those studs? Please tell me there is a better way.

I think you can get studs that screw in. Check with one of one of the board vendors...

Mar-K sells them, as I'm sure other vendors do.

Mar-K is right near my town.

Has anyone ever installed these? I assume the proper measurements are in the factory assembly manual (it'll be fun finding anything in there).

Yep it is like a hunting expedition for snipe!

Also your local body shop should have them for use with their stud welder machine. I have a high end unit that came with the little studs. Works real well once you have the lay out.
