has anyone put a fullsize 4.3 in a s-10 would i need to change the computer, i know there is a hp difference but will i loose the extra hp if i keep my stock ecu.

Is it tbi? If you are replacing a 4.3 with a 4.3 you shouldn't have any issues with the computer. You might need to switch the oil pan. They are different in a 4x4 s10 and a 2x4 s10. I'm not sure on the hp difference, but if you are changing stock for stock, you probably won't notice a difference.
