It is a good 4-5 inches thick.

Would you mind checking in that book to see if a 454 engine was offered in the 1975 Blazer? If so, what is the RPO No. and what would the engine vin. no. code be? (3rd digit of the Vin. no.) I would appreciate any help on this matter as I have an M code in the 3rd digit of Vin. no. and am having trouble identifying what engine 'M' represents. Thanks in advance for any help on this matter. Greg.

Frame Off of 75 Blazer

Crossy, thanks so much for the info. Since the original motor is not in the truck, I'd like to 'frame off' the truck in order to take a decent shot at changing the color. Is there any surprises I should know about going into this venture? Thanks again for M option info.

surprises

surprises are called SURPRISES for a reason , otherwise it would be called a PLAN. :-)
One surprise is that those bodys are heavy because unlike the pickups they are one piece. look good at the rear footwell boxes/braces , inner rockers and floor supports also right at the end of the rear floor, look from underneath.

Thats all I can think of right now because I am busy looking for a picture of Shania Twain in that outfit she had on during the superbowl.

Gregsmx, did you get the answer you wanted from Crossy? If not, I can look through the data manual.

Crossy, I would trade for some old unique Chevy/GMC literature.

I have at least one of every year dealer brochures for 81-87 chevy pickups. You know the 15 page or so booklet that the salesman handed you if you were interested in a particular truck. and a real neat truck accessories catalog from 1973. all are mint. lemmeknow, DAVE.
