This trucks original owner was the U.S. Navy. plans are for a camaro clip and maybe 4 link rear not sure. It had some bullet holes in the back of the cab which ive welded shut and smoothed out. It will need cab corners, rockers, steps, and some floor board repair.

I am pretty sure I have the most time on my cab body work on that strip between the window and bottom. Looks like yours was used as a work truck to and hads lots of stuff bouncing off the cab!

I completely replaced mine. I cut it out and welded a whole new piece.

That is in my opinon the best way to clip that frame. Fast and easy plus you get a small Z for a little extra drop. Looking good can't wait to see more progress.

Where? Front fender at bottom, top of fender well, rear at bottom or top of well? I assume you mean height above ground?

yes above ground. i did not have any stock measurement just wondered roughly how much the nose has come down from stock

I looked in the factory assy manual and at this site: http://www.tocmp.com/tOCMP/chevy.tocmp.com/
and all they show is clearance from ground to bottom of axle, no dimension to the bottom of fenders. Guess someone with at stock truck will need to drop a tape on it for you.

Re: my 57 build

We are back above freezing after a week of 0 to -10. Lots of home owners who bought homes built during the 2000-2007 boom found out where the plumbing contractors cut corners. This is the first winter since the mid 90's that we went below 10 or so. Lots of flooded crawl spaces, broken pipes in garage ceilings below bonus rooms, hose bibbs breaking inside the crawl. My house has the furnace in the cellar which keeps the whole crawl space above freezing. Something to be said for living in an old depression shack! I carry a tape with me, if I see a stock truck I'll get a measurement. There are lots of them around here used for daily drivers.
