New guy from KS
hello, I'm from salina, I work at a rod shop known as bright built hot rods. Our sight is down due to some idiot. Any way I have a 68 burb that is sitting for future plans as the family hauler? And my soon to be daily driver 72 short bed, I went a little to far with the drop but it's just right. I started with drop spindals, springs that i cut to get two more inches out of, then i went crazy and moved the front cross member up two inches. then i had a mess on my hands, i had to move steering up, narrow upper and lower a arms an 1 1/2, the motor and trans, so i built new trans cross member, trailing arm crossmember to have nothing lay beneth the frame rails. out back i started with drop springs and four inch drop blocks, then i decided to run a five inch taller rear tire than the front so z'd the rear 4 1/2 inches to get it level, then i put in a small c notch to give me some travel. Motor is a 425 hp LT1 block with vortec heads, 700r4 trans, rear is swaped from burb to narrow and for six lug, (got six lug wheels cheap) I am not doing any body work for I have a new cab, bed and front clip to chop and body work. I did build a new dash for the truck, I used a 57 ford to start and filled it with autometer gauges. all and all its going to be a fun daily driver.
