truck just died
 

i got a little bit of a problem my truck just died the other day. i was sitting at a job site and was starting it intermitenly just to keep the heat up in the cab. then the last time is started it before it died teh idle kept fluctuating going high then low. i shut it off and went to start it again and she'll crank but she wont fire. so we're thinking it could be a clogged fuel filter or a bad fuel pump. has anyone else had the same problem or know what may be going on with her. by the way its an 03 silverado with the 4.8 vortec

Check all fuses, Check the fuel pressure 55-62 PSI. when was the last time the fuel filter was changed? You need to check things out before throwing parts at it.

we got it it was a bad fuel pump we checked the relays and fueses and all then when we pulled the fuel filter off and turned the key on to kick the pump over nothing came out so we repalced the pump and got her runnin thanks for the reply tho
