Will the bell housing from a I6 fit a 350
I currently a 68 C-20 with the 250 I6 with the heavy duty clutch and a Saginaw 3 speed (on the tree) with the R-10 overdrive unit. I have run across a nice 'built?' 350 from a Camaro that was an automatic. What parts from the I6 can I use? Such as bell housing, flywheel, clutch disk/pressure plate assembly (which I would replace with new). What problems might I encounter? Want to keep the Saginaw OD unit. Thanks for any help.

The bellhousing will definately work. I really don't know about the flywheel, but I would assume that the clutch parts would work if it had the right bolt pattern. Some had both patterns, others didn't

If it is a two piece rear main seal on the 350 everything will work even the radiator.Tto use a radiator shroud you will need to use one for a 4X4 because the engine sits back a few inches when you bolt it up to the 6cyl mounts. If I remember right you will also need to modify the ball stud for the clutch linkage some but it is not much, or hard to do.

86 up you will need to use a flywheel to match the engine. It has a built in counterweight.

Thanks for all the quick responses. Still working on the motor deal and now that I have these answers it helps me know what to expect should it work.
