Re: NP 205 seals

NAPA (least that's where I got mine)

Lip seals I don't have a # for, but take in one of the old ones, they should be able to match it.
O-ring type (actually square cut) 1-3926 (NAPA), I had a spare and it's still sitting on my desk, lol.

I looked up the napa part number 1-3926 and it came up a big o-ring thats 4.612 I.D. thats the big o-ring for the back of the transmission i need the small one for inside the adapter that goes on the shaft. Thanks

I personally have never incountered a seal there, just the big o ring and rtv between the t-case housing and adapter with the trans fluid lubing the adapter but that's just my experance

Re: NP 205 seals

There's a seal in the adapter, I changed mine out last summer because the transmission was dumping gear oil into the transfer case.

However, mine being a 1977 with the sm465 it might not be the same part number.

Try looking up under a 1980 Chevrolet half ton. 1980s all came with NP205 transfer cases.

There are 2 seals for the 205. The earlier one for the smaller input shaft, and the later one for the larger input shaft.

There is definately a seal on the input shaft. Here is a picture of that seal. I can't remember where I got mine but this picture may help you get yours.
