What's a good deal for an original fender?

I just need to know what is a fair price, a steal for me and what's way to high of a price to pay for a original 69-72 front fender that's in good condition. Good condition to me is no pin holes or major metal or body work needed. All little filler, sand, prime and paint!!!

I'm going to look at some parts tomorrow. The guy is not a member here and I DO NOT want to over pay!

Thanks,

Patsy

I'd say $150 on the high side in really good shape.
$100 is a fair price in good shape.
$75 and under is a steal in good shape.

In my opinion, in a rust area of the country, $150 is a nice deal for you, $100 is a steal, $200 is getting up there, but not unreasonable.
I think a perfect original fender is the most valuable out there. Repro's have a few known issues, and NOS could have been made much later, on worn down machinery which could make for gap issues.

pass sides are worth way more than drivers, if they are not rusted in the lower front, very hard to find

I have purchased re-pop front fenders for a truck I restored for $120.00 each the fit was not as good as stock but, workable if thats all you got. I think any used fender is worth the time you spend on it / metal work/ time. Here in cali you can get used fenders $75/ on up. call early classic, talk to Stan/Mark (straight shooters)and they have all kinds of used parts I think n o s parts are way out line $$$$$$$$$ hope this helps Pat

Re: What's a good deal for an original fender?

I paid $125 for a driver fender that was in near mint condition. Just needs sanding and paint...no filler ANYWHERE!

Then I paid another $125 for a set of satinless steel west coast mirrors that are in mint condition. I couldn't believe it!!!

Oh, and I got my 4x4 crossmember!
