Another CL find..I'm going to look at it
 

Found this '69 C10 listed this evening. I'm going to drive 165 miles(one way) Saturday to check it out. I'm just looking for a decent looking driver for summer cruising.

I never trust fresh paint. The mention of fresh paint and nothing about body work makes me curious what's under the paint. Call me a skeptic if you like :p

Wow, that's a long ways to look at a truck. You must not have many back there. There's usually 3 or 4 decent looking ones in our photo ad here every week. The aren't selling, either.

I got up there and it took me at least 45 seconds to decide to pass on this one. The truck had fresh paint...right over the old paint and dents and bondo. The parts they didn't want painted were masked off...poorly. Interior had one bucket seat and bondo all the way across the top of windshield. I didn't even check the engine.
There isn't many lower priced trucks this old around here. Most of the better ones have been bought already and fixed up beyond what I'm willing to pay.
It was a great day for a drive. Sunny all day but was 13 when I got to Cheboygan. Since the Mackinaw Bridge was just another 20 miles, I went and took a look. First time I've seen it in the winter..I think.

I spent all summer looking and I always say you gotta go and look but be ready to be dissappointed! The one you don't look at is the one you should have BOUGHT!

All I can say is thank you for your disapointment...yea I know...why ???because I have been though this about 20 times between trucks and boats I have logged about 1500 miles of Sunday drives...and I'm off to see a set of pro street tires today ( about 60 miles round trip) wish me luck...lol
