is bondo really the best?

I used to use bondo a long time ago....but I'm wondering if there is anything better within the last 5-8 years....perhaps lighter and easier to paint....

it all depends on what you are trying to fill. stuff called icing is real nice. very easy to sand but is supposed to be only applied up to 1/8 inch think. ever coat makes nice products as well. just go to your local body supply store and check out what they have. experimentation is the best way to fin out what is best.

I still use Bondo. For finishing I use Evercoat glazing putty.

"BONDO" is Name of a product kinda like Coke is to cola. If plastic filler; it's true name, is used correctly you will never have a problem with it. People who still use spot putty witch is a lauqer product will have problems with paint busting up or peeling. If you are going to prime your truck with laquer primer you will have problems thats why they have urethane paints and primers.
