Anybody slammed with old 5 slot rims??

I am changing out the studs on my truck right now so I can slide my new old slot rims under those low fenders. My studs are just too short to work with the wheels. :metal: My rear is a 8" and fronts 7". I hope with low profile tires my rear will tuck without interference. I just wondering if anybody already had something like that i could see. thanks..

Are you referring to these kind of slot wheels - similar to the Ansens, etc?

...if you are, mine are 16x12 in the rear and 15x6 up front.

Yep that is what i am talking about. Mine are the old western wheel ones. nothing special and 6 lug. Your truck looks bada@@. did you polish them yourself? I am just hoping they will fit in the rear step side fender with the tuck I have.. Any width difference between stepside and fleet at the inner most wheel opening??

Re: Anybody slammed with old 5 slot rims??

The rears, I believe, are a set of US Indy. The fronts are the newer Ansens from American...since I have big disc brakes up front, none of the vintage Ansens would clear my 6-piston calipers. I had the rear set re-polished - I don't have a polishing wheel large enough to accommodate the dish depth. I don't believe there is much of a difference in the fender widths. It really comes down to the backspacing of the wheels you use.

Mine had an old school set when I bought it. The rears were 15x10. No way they would have fit under the fenders. The 8's might tuck with small tires.

I widened the bed 4 inches to get 15x10 slots with 33-12.5-15 to fit. In the stock configuration the stepside beds are considerably narrower than the truck width at the front wheel openings. They make wider rear 'glass fenders, but to me the proportions don't look right.

This is what my truck looked like when I rolled off the trailer back from paint with 16x12 rears - ride height.

The second pic is the chassis and my 15x10s with coated centers.

Re: Anybody slammed with old 5 slot rims??

Was thinking of 15x10 with stock rear end, fleetside dropped 4"
