3/4 ton to 1/2 ton differences.

I've got a few questions for you guys. Are the frames different between the 67-72 1/2 ton & 67-72 3/4 ton? Or is is just in the suspension?

Any issues bolting a dropmember onto a 3/4 ton frame?

Btw I searched and couldn't come up with anything. So if I missed it. My bad.

Thanks for the help,
Doug

Re: 3/4 ton to 1/2 ton differences.

The 3/4 frames are taller. I am going to swap a 1/2 suspension on my 3/4 frame and I think everything will bolt on, or at least that's what I have read. The 3/4 trailing arms are beefier.

BTW what is a dropmember?

Ok, I was thinking I had read that the frames were taller. Just couldn't seem to find it. A dropmember is dropped front crossmember for air ride.

Can someone else chime in and confirm that the frames are indeed taller. I also just read in another thread stating that the c10 & c20 crossmembers were a direct swap. Any truth to that?

Nate from porterbuilt confirmed that the 3/4 ton chassis on the 60-72 trucks are the same as the 1/2 ton.
