RARE Borg Warner Overdrive Planetary Set
 

I am selling a RARE NOS Borg Warner Overdrive Planetary set. These are very hard to find in good used condition, and this is a NOS piece. The box shows shelf wear, but the planetary is new. It does not have the part number on it, but all are the same in the B/W overdrive units that are mounted to the Saginaw 3 speed.

So this gives you a 4th gear ? how dose it get activated ? I may be interested instead of switching to 4spd....... please more info...

This is a small part of the actual overdrive unit that bolts to the back of a Saginaw trans. The setup is actually very hard to come by and very expensive if it needs to be rebuilt. Unless you are looking for an overdrive simply for nostalgic reasons, or to keep a vehicle original (if it came with the o/d), your best bet would be to purchase a 4 spd. unit. If you would like to read up on these units, you can Googeg "Borg-Warner Overdrive" and you will find alot of info out there.
