people think roadsalt is bad for rust well let me tell you salt IS WD-40 compared to COAL and the chemical's used to mine it , here in the 1960's and into the 1970's the coal companie's dumped sludge and chemical's in the road and in the river daily they got fined for it but the fine's were cheaper than the cost of properly cleaning and disposing of the waste SO THEY DUMPED IT IN THE ROAD ! when it rained the road was just BLACK SLUDGE car's and truck's DISSENTIGRATED like with daffy duck's DISSENTIGRATION RAY GUN ! |

i have some good photos from the 80's of my dad's 72 burb and our (still have it after 25+ years) 1971 Holiday trav'ler camper. hope to get some retro inspiring photos of my 72 burb with the trailer hitched up this summer. my truck is being modded but in stealth fashion (poly bushings, sway bars, tach and vac gage, etc) so once i get a set of factory hub caps on it it will look very vintage going down the road! the old photos will have to wait until i get them scanned in (one of these years). |

Kind of neat pics even though these have been around many times. The old Yenko dealer in Pennsylvania and how it sat in March, 2008.

One more, this was my Uncles 69. I think the pic was taken in the early 90's and what she looks like as of now, after it was handed down to his son.
This truck was a daily driver and was used to pull a 20+ foot bass boat all over Indiana. The 454BB had no problem getting this truck around, and would just about knock your head through the back window with the torque it had. One mean truck that I love to this day, and was one of the reasons I got hooked to these trucks, plus my father had a 68c10 back in the early 80's. |
