66 c10 getting started

Got started this last week on my c10. Needs more than I thought, but I'm guessing they always do. just wanna get it running and driving safe this first year, bought a farm so don't have much cash to spend. going to try to get some pics up, hope it works. Pulled out the interior, and tore the body moldings off. Started on some bodywork, have some bad holes along the insides of the rockers. (the transition between where the door gasket goes, and the trim that would hold the carpet down if it had any) I took some pics, hopefully they'll load. Does somebody make a patch piece for this? Or do I need to get dad to bend some with his break? Here is my plan for this year. Do the bodywork, best i can, spray it in flat black primer, Fix the inside rockers, paint and carpet for the interior, I have a decent set of buckets seats for it. The tires are completely dry rotted. But i'm trading a friend some used skidsteer tires, for a set of 6 bolt 20" wheels that were on a '02 chevy. will they mount right on? or do i need an adapter? I'll quit rambling, You guys have some AWESOME pickups, great inspiration for getting started on mine.

Looks like your off to a good start. There are a lot of patch panels for these trucks. LMC, Classic parts, Mar-k. There are usualy advertisments on the top right of your screen for parts vendors. Good luck with your truck.

I lost my camera sometime last week and finally found it today, so its time for some updates and questions!! Got the bodywork done as best as i can do. Had dad bend some tin for the holes on top of the rockers. Welded up the gas tank fill hole, back up lights, tailgate chains, and body moulding holes. Sprayed it with high build primer. Cut 1.5 coils of the front to drop it down. Waiting on some wrangler rear coils that i found on ebay for 40 bucks to bring the rear down as well. Found some wheels/tires on craigslist for 300 bucks. Picked em up yesterday. They fit pretty good, but the center hole is larger than stock, and i know they should be hubcentric but i'm gonna try em. Here is my first question..... The studs arent long enough!! Im guessing there are probly 10 threads on each nut but being the wheels are aluminum they are thicker, and i dont catch all the threads, i'm missing four threads. Also the studs are 7/16 and the wheels i beleive are 14mm(they were on a 02 denali) What do you think i should do? beat the old studs out, drill em for a 14mm stud and just buy some longer 14mm studs? Kinda stumped so any advice would be greatly appreciated. One more question... My engine is in tough shape i think. At idle it has about 18 psi of oil pressure, but when i hit the throttle it actually drops to around 12-14 then picks up to 25-30 at 2000rpm. Bearings going bad??? I have a 78 3/4 ton chevy with a 350/turbo 400 that i want to drop in. I have a 327/3spd manual in it now. I know the engine wont be an issue but how bout the tranny??? Do you guys just fab up a crossmember for the rear of the tranny? Ok i'll quit with the questions and show some pics. Hope they load!!!

I need if I recall... the driver or pass door I believe they are the same and the little ends for the front fenders, I just don't want to buy all new ones...and I like the way they look

Wow! quick bodywork. I went the other route and removed everything from the frame. In the process of doing the bed bodywork at the moment. How did u fill the trim holes on the bed?
