Suspension Flip in rear
1 Attachment(s)
Ok I have come up with an idea, but would like to hear input before I pursue it. On my 71 3/4ton Chevy I have coils in the rear. I was thinking about placing the axel under the control arm. This should gain me about 4" in the rear. Has anyone done this before? Incase I've completely lost you here is a pic I fixed up to help make this clear

Re: Suspension Flip in rear
I think it would work, and I've seen pictures of it done. But I don't know if there's a good way to lift the coil-spring front suspension enough to level the truck.

Re: Suspension Flip in rear
I did find some fab kits for the front, but I was looking at a four link in the front for a future 4x4 conversion. I've got everything I need to do this and found some pretty good setups on how to go about it. I was just curious if anyone has done this before. I think I'll go for it and post pics as I go.

i know a guy that built a 4x4 like that and even utilized the same setup for the front.

Re: Suspension Flip in rear
Sandking made his own front arms like that. Check his build. And yes, others have done this flip.
