72 blazer shock hoops

Who has shock hoops on their 67-72? I've look everywhere but I can't find anyone who makes them. Anyone make their own? I've seen the Ford towers but I was looking for a hoop setup for dual shocks. I asked over on ck5 awhile ago but got little response. Ridding with 52's and 56's and no shocks is interesting!

I think you will have to make them or have them made. But you could modify a ford dual shock setup to fit. I don't recall hearing or seeing someone that hasn't had them custom made.

Does the 73-87 style not work on our frames? We have some on our monster that are 73-87 style with 3 shock mounts on them. Trevor

I had a set of those on my 87 and though about using them, but I' not sure they will clear the steering box on the divers side. Not to mention I don't think Rancho makes them anymore.

6600DURAMAX I've been watching your build, beautiful truck. I like the compact design of your shock towers. I'm wanting to run dual shocks up front so I'm thinking hoops that are tied together with a crossbar under the hood is the way to go. I don't mind making my own but it would be a lot easier with less trial and error if someone had done it before.

You could also get by with a factory dual shock setup off of the 73-87 style trucks, blazers, etc. It's just a special tab that holds 2 shocks in the stock position. Someone could maybe save those and sell them to you from the 73+ crowd. Trevor

With the 52" springs up front I want to get as long of shocks as possible. I'm leaning toward dual King remote reservoirs.

And sorry about the bombing of questions I have been looking to do the same to my Blazer and I can't find anything I like, but I do like those ones...

Here are a couple of the driver side. I just made a cardboard template and had them burned on a table. At one time I had a set for sale but I have no idea where they went. I just added some small flat plate gussets I bought from DIY4X.
Looking at VTBlazer's pics is exactly what will happen if you do not reinforce the back of the frame if you wheel your truck, mine just sits in the garage  so I did not reinforce the back of my frame. Ironically I did box my entire frame from the transfer case back and plate the inside at the large bend mid way back in the bed area but left this area up front alone . I got in a hurry to get it to powdercoat.

Man that is sweet, it is exactly what I am looking for, If you can find the other set you have I would be willing to take them off your hands...

And if not do you still have the Templete, or point me in the direction to the templete?
Did you just weld tabs to the top of the spring cover?

I don't know how to post pictures here but here's the link to the build thread for my 70 K20 Suburban. I think page 4 and 9 have several pictures.

I'm going to build the front hoops after I put the body back on the frame to make sure they don't interfere with the steering column.
