Greasey hands on valve covers
What do I use to clean my valve covers, got my greasey handprints all over them. They are cast al. Brodix valve covers

WD40. It dissolves almost anything that is petroleum based

I use glass cleaner on mine, my eagle alloy wheels, home windows and truck windows!
Stuff works like a charm though im not sure what my valve covers are made of (chevrolet custom) |

Limco 139 prepaint wash. But it's about $28-30 a gallon.

You could wipe it down with a brake cleaner or Lacquer thinner on a clean rag. Then I would do a poish job to put the oils back into the metal so it will not turn hazy.
