4x4 center caps
Gang, I want to put center caps on my front hubs which have manual lock-outs. Is there anything stock that is available or will I have to modify something that is available? The ones I am partial to r the newer style with the ridges in them.
Thanks.:truck: |
Re: 4x4 center caps
What kind of wheels do you have? Factory steel wheels have hub caps with holes in them for the front.

Re: 4x4 center caps
I used the wheels off my son's 89 on my 84. I had to get the special lug nuts so I could put the hub caps on. I also cut the center out of 2 of the caps with a 3.5" hole saw. With a little gentle sanding the front caps fit like a glove over the lockout hubs and look just like a factory setup.

Re: 4x4 center caps
I don't think I have ever seen any stock caps for the front, but if anyone has a set I would like to see them so I know what I'm looking for. I do like the late model caps though.

Here is my 87 4x4 with front factory hub caps. You can get them through LMC.

This is what mine looks like. You can see the front hubcaps pretty well to get an idea of what you have to do to fit late model slots to our trucks. Jim
