Part Identification Help

I have searched every forum known to man, but I can't find it.

I have a '78 K5. I am looking for a beefed up or aftermarket version of the very front crossmember on the frame. The one next to the steering box. I've found several versions of the engine crossmember but apparently I don't know what to call the one I'm looking for.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't know of anyone that makes a stronger front cross member, but there are companies that make bolt-in and weld-in braces for the front cross member and steering box. Check out this link:

Yeah, I've found those. I am probably going to buy their engine crossmember but I was thinking I might be able to find the front one redone.

If not, then I guess best bet will be buy the plates and the brace and just go on.
