Re: Quick Question

I have seen it done, but don't have any pics of a truck with it. It looks pretty cool. I think Stacey David did it with the square body that he did on Gearz a while back.

Re: Quick Question

You have to cut the frame horns to move it in I believe. The lower bolt mount directly to the frame and the upper bolts mount to a bracket. I've seen pics of this done on here like on some the of Hill's Hot Rods trucks.

Re: Quick Question

To make sure I have this question right. Are you asking about sectioning the bumper to pull the sides closer or pushing the bumper in closer all the way across the front. There are two response that are about two different ways. I have seen both done and plan on both on my truck. I think to push the bumper you can unbolt it and slide it back and remount it to the frame horn, I don't you have to cut the horn but I have not check close on mine. To section it is just like sectioning a body__ measure, mark, cut, weld, sand, rechrome, install. If you are buying a bumper and sectioning it order a raw steel bumper b/c they are cheaper and you will have to have it chromed after the welding.

Re: Quick Question

Pushing the bumper in toward the body will be easy, sectioning it to close the gap on the sides will be some work. If you do it done post some pics and a before and after shot. I remember the bumper they did on gearz and if you can watch that it will give you some tips, may be different year truck but a bumper is a bumper both models have steel bumpers.
