anybody running a x-pipe on a 355? whats the pros/cons?
so i got my truck back from the shop finally, had a bad rear main seal. :waah:
its a 85 chevy silverado c10 swb. put in a carburated 1995' 350 bored to 355 with a melling mtc-1 cam, and stock heads and stock rear end gears 3.73 or something like that, also got a edelbrock performer intake and edelbrock 1411 performer 750 carb. i know its a big carb, but i got it brand new for dirt cheap. :metal: so my question is, anybody know how or what benefits i would get with a x-pipe. i need to redo my exhaust, i ran over a basketball and it broke one of my longtube headers, so ima pull that one off and if i cant weld it back together, then ima have to buy me a new set. whats the best exhaust size to go with this set-up? any info to make it better i appreciate. or should i rip out the cam and get something different? like what? thanx!!:ito: |
Re: anybody running a x-pipe on a 355? whats the pros/cons?
2.5 or 3 inch should work great the x pipe built correctly helps to empty the cylinders your 750 is fine i used to run a 780 on my 350 with and extreme energy hyd comp cams full length headers and 3 inch with flows in a heavy 70 monte carlo it ran very strong!
