What tire sizes for 22/24?
 

I have 22x9.5 front and 24x10 rear. They are going on a 67 that lays rocker. Trying to decide on a tire size front and rear.

That's what I was thinking but that is a big tire when slammed. May just go with that size and a matching height tire for the back and a little wider.

Thats a rubber band tire, ive got em on a set of smoothies i picked up. If you use that od tire on a 24 your not gonna have any sidewall. its only like a 29.5 od

No, the same sidewall height, to make the both look the same tire hieght but a 24 in back. I think the 265/35/22 is 3.5in and the 305/30/24 is too tall at 4.2.

I think we decided on a 255/30/22 front and 275/30/24 rear. I was talking to my suspension guy, guy that bagged it, and if I did the 265/35/22 then a good matching sidewall height rear tire was too tall. These sizes we decided on put us at 28dia front and 31.5 rear.

I am running 22x8.5 in front with 235/30-22 and 24x10 in rear with 275/30/24. Those two profile match and both sizes have very little sidewall.

I would go with 265/30/22 up front and 285/30/24 or 295/30/24(not cheap) out back. The overall diameter would be 28.26 and 30.73. A 275/30/24 looks too stetched on a 24 in my opinion. I'm running 265/30/22 toyo and 285/30/22 yokohamas on my smoothies.

That 295 is about 12 inches wide, too wide for me. 9.5 front amd 10in wideback wheel.

Here you go. the gentleman was correct in saying these are close to rubber bands. Past 30" of height I think the tires would be above the bed sides if laying frame.

Is that both 24, or the 22 mounted and 24 standing? It's hard to tell on my phone in the pic. These sizes are tiny, the 22 shows 3in and the 24 shows 3.25 sidewall height. As far as what has been measured by the suspension guy, I have 32in before I go over my bedside, but I'll lay out and measure again. Can I get more info on your truck? Wheel backspace and stuff? As far as mine I'd like to run the 24x10, 5.91 +12 wheel out back. I have the 5lug 71-72 rear.

The 22 is standing and the 24 is mounted.....the picture is a little deceptive. The backspace on the 24's is 5.5. I did narrow the axle and the approximate measurement from outside hub to hub is 59". The back wheels are set it because as the truck gets lower and the top of the inside of the bed gets narrower. I wish I would have put an independent rear end on because the rear tires wouild tuck in better. I have 6.5 inch backspace on the fronts to try to keep the fronts and rears in line with each other. I do have the tires mounted on the back so if you want a picture of how the 24/s set in there let me know. I have been get all of my parts from Porterbuilt Street Rods as well.

That's close to what I'll be getting. My rears are 5.91bs.
