slow wipers
 
Have a 80 truck put in a new engine and while everything was empty cleaned and painted things and one was the wiper motor ,was working good before now is like there is glue on the window,wipers real slow.New battery etc

My first guess is that due to the paint a good ground is not present. Check the voltage going into the wiper motor and see what that is. Second guess is that the linkage is somehow binding.

if it's the ground just check ,test wire from motor to ground,copper strip corroded?

I have an '80 to and just replaced my wiper motor, they are now slow and they get stuck in the half way position all the time. I have lubed the linkage, even made sure the joints were not to tight, still have the problem.

I'm with slofarmtruck on this, with this I might add, did any paint get inside the wiper motor or into the harnace plug where it connects to the wiper motor? jim

+1 on that. Also you can never get the right speed for the amount of rain coming down. Either to slow or to fast. I think a company sells a regulator that will send slower signals though. Not Sure.
