Some Shots of my 65

No full shots, just a few important ones. Everything
has a surface rust to it but solid as a rock. I found
a hole in the body. Inside cab drivers side under the
vent. I guess the water from wet feet ran down the
side and sat. Not even fixing it, a little silicon and I'll
keep a floor mat behind the seat just in case I ever
get caught in the rain. I forgot to shoot the dent on the
R.R.1/4. Not an issue, but first things first. Get a ride
in, figure out any mechanical issues. Then I am taking
it and the wife up to the abandoned Gravel Quarry
behind my house and watch for shooting stars:uhmk:

oo's a few too many images, I'll post a couple more in
a reply

Looks like it had a pampered life! Can't see any steering wheel cracks and looks like the original shocks, too.

Don'tcha just wanna tear into it?

Re: Some Shots of my 65

thanks man. I am on a LOW BUDGET:waah:. Actually I am
a dead man come end of month when the NAPA Statement
comes in the mail. But I have been killed so many times
it never hurts anymore. My restore will include an oil
spray under side, shocks, fix the 4 area's of body plus
all the mirror holes and touch up paint in those area's.

I have dreams of power front disc's and 4 matching
farm tires. It's got 2 new fronts and some kick-A$$
snows on the rear that will safety fine. Then paint
the bumpers and hub caps. Some stock
mirrors and she'll pretty much stay as is for the time
I own it. I plan on yanking out the engine and painting
it up real nice, as long as it proves itself this summer.

I love the shifter how it pops out, can you see me in
Sears walking with my shifter in my hand, great
theft deterrent, plus I could whack some white trash
with it too. I have an electric fence power suppy i
want to add to it. Can I hook that up so you get a
ZAP if you touch it? It's only 6 volt tho...

Oh ya, something bad happened too...

Ever heard the saying, a square peg in a round hole before?
I scuffed the brand new 400 dollar camera last night, on the
tailgate. Not on the bottom, or side, but right on the front.
No need to go in for a colonoscopy now, man was she Pi$$ed.
Everytime I fart my differential flashes now?

Re: Some Shots of my 65

Mostly Original, someone took the motor and put
in a replacement. Paint is all original, thanks for
the welcome you guy's. I couldn't turn it down and
I paid a small fortune for it. Luckily I got some
inheiritance from dad years ago I have been saving
to spend wisely. It was the first one I looked at too. I looked at
a few others in the 5 K range and they were tough.
To date I am just under 8 grand into it, too much?
Maybe to some, but it is well a preserved survivor of the 60's. My
first car ever with no BONDO :metal: I don't think
the plastic loom is stock, is it?

Thanks agian for more photos of an original survivor! Your truck photos answers alot of questions on they way they were built. Trucks with good original paint and good original seat upholstry are hard to come by at any price. One more to do items would be to touchup the steering wheel . When the original fawn paint wears off the wheel, the ugly black begins to shows thru. The plastic wire loom is someones add on, the factory just taped them. The west coast painted mirrors are a factory option. The only other thing I see is someone did a typical quickie repaint to the hubcaps. Here is a photo of how your hubcap looked before the rookie with a spraycan got to it.

Actually paint is brushed on, I can see the hair lines from the brush.
This truck seems to be a big hit and I am one lucky Kanuk to find
such a treasure. Thanks for all the kind words. Thanks for the close up
picture, this board sure helps things come in loud and clear.
