nEw from fresno, california

I purchased a 69 c-10 shortbed frame with a 72 front clip. I also
got a 72 cab for it. Now im wondering which engines from what year vehicles will drop in. My friend will sell me a 305 for $100 but on the web people really dislike them. Im young so ill probably be asking alot of questions =]

Welcome from NW Washington. You came to the right place to get good answers. The 305 is a decent engine, just small. The old stand by is the 350. They are both small blocks, so there is lots of parts available for them. Enjoy your stay.:chevy:

Ill try to post pictures when im able. Theres a car swap meet in selma this saterday in going to head to and another in fresno on march 14?(a sunday)

right now im cleaning the frame. It came with bags but the guy cut the lines and the welds werent all that good. Got the rear ones off but the front im currently not able since he welded the bolts. It also came with some adapters on the hubs. I was actually able to use malibu rims for the rear(n-body) and as for the front. I took off tje adapters and used some old rims my neighbor sold me.

Im doing the work alone. I do have 3 friends with trucks i may ask for help sometimes. Two have a 69 c-10, and one a 72 c-10. Do they make a manual for it like haynes does?
