a sad day
Well guys, the wife and i have been kicking this around for over a year now , and the time has come. We are selling the house and moving back to town. better for the kids, and much closer we currently drive 100 miles round trip EACH to work everyday. unfortunatly that means i have to get rid of the 64, i would love to keep it but this is whats best for the family. I will miss you guys and all of the great stories that have made me laugh , the pictures that have made me drool , and of course the great knowledge of the dedicated guys on this site. , just a good bye of sorts.
thank you for everything Charles |

Re: a sad day
Wife and I are having the same pangs of regret. We realize we'll need to leave the farm, and get in town some day. Not because of the kids, but age. Been house shopping, but each time we find something she likes and little shop in back yard, we get cold feet and back out.
With a commute as far as yours, I admire you for rearranging your priorities for the sake of your family. I'm sure it's a hard decision, but a good one. Best of luck with the change, and God bless Cayoterun |
Re: a sad day
Not sure if it's any comfort, but you're certainly not alone in having to make tough decisions in these difficult economic times. 100 mile commutes just aren't easy with gas prices and job losses as they are, let along wear and tear on the equipment and frayed nerves at the end of the week. No matter how unlikely it seems now, you can always get another truck later on when circumstances permit.
Good luck. |

MT:
Although you are saying goodbye to your farm and your '64, you don't have to say goodbye to the forums. It is free to lurk, browse and post, so stick around for some more good times, laughs and drooling. You may need to, since the big city is full of bad news, compared to wrenching on '60-'66 Chevy/GMC trucks! |
