Lower a K10?
I know it may sound crazy, but has anyone done it? Maybe a flip kit on both ends? I've come across a good deal on an 85 4x4 and I'm wanting to build a rallycross truck, rallycross is like an autocross but on dirt, and I figure a stick axle truck with a much lower ride height may be a pretty formidable contender.
Any suggestions? Thanks |
Re: Lower a K10?
i didnt think you could do that to 4x4 in the front due to steering and what not.... i could be wrong. im sure its do-able somehow

Re: Lower a K10?
you can only go so low in the front before the pumpkin hits the crossmember.

Re: Lower a K10?
If you want a rallycross vehicle, look at a 4x4 S10, or 4x4 88+ full size truck. These trucks have an independent front suspension and you can lower them like a 2WD truck.
Also, you can use all wheel drive Astro van parts to convert a 4x4 S10 to true all wheel drive. You are basically building a truck similar to the GMC Syclone. I think this would be the most competitive setup against the rest of the cars you are going to compete against. |

You are going to have a huge issue with the oil pan too....
