Leaf Spring Question

I have a 86 Silverado swb with a steel flatbed and I pull a 16 ft trailer and 2 other trailers with it and I am fixin to swap out the rear leafs. It now has 3 leafs per side which would be better 5 leafs or 6 leafs what is ya'll opinion? tks

Re: Leaf Spring Question

9 is better!

Only 3 and running a 16' trailer? Add as many as you can especially if towing weight with a trailer, in my opinion. Good Luck!

Re: Leaf Spring Question

If you switch the rear springs out (commonly refereed to as 53" springs) for HD versions, it is likely they will be the longer ones (commonly referred to as the 56" springs)...and you will need to move your rear spring hangers on your truck back to the next set of holes on the frame in order to install them.
