Rear cover removal

Hello everyone,

I just removed my rear cover to replace the old as dirt 12 bolt gasket. A couple of questions for everyone...

What type of gear oil do I need to put in?
Also, how much do I put in?

This project seems pretty straight forward. Just put the bolts back on and remove the fill plug and replace the gear oil. Please let me know if I am missing something....

I would say 80/90 gear lube if you have a limited slip you will need additive fill it till it tries to run out and replace fill plug . Hope this helps...

While you're there read the # that is stamped into the gear. That way your next question wont be "What gear ratio do I have".
