That is more mph than it has ever ran wide open ! I have been trying for five years to make it run 150 on the 10.90 index .

Is that a 2.3 60' with a 10.86 ET? That is some crazy top end.

He runs the truck on a throttle stop to run Super Street. Its a 10.90 index in the 1/4 mile. Wide open it would run Deep in the 8's. He leaves under a bunch of power to get a good light then kills it for about 2 or 3 seconds then its balls to the wall.

Lining up against Regan musta made the other lane a little nervous eh :)

So how does the ol girl handle at 150+ ???? That's some SERIOUS power!!!!

If they had never seen it they probably had no idea he would out mph them in that heavy buzzard.

DJ thanks for explaining . The first run I made I was setup like last year and it went 10.56 at 151.50 . I had a hard time slowing the 60 ft down so i didnt kill the mph. The 60 ft is always quick at that track and the old combo never ran over 147 there so you know I was happy with the 151 . I'm sure it will run 150 anywhere I run this year . Marv that tank drives better than a Caddilac . I did have an issue getting lose down track in the left lane though . I have the front end tied down real tight so I can cut a light becuase I refuse to put a short tire on it . If the front end has enough travel I dont have a problem . I was thinking of going to Dallas Raceway this weekend and turning it loose but they are having Pinks All Out . My next race is at the Texas Motorplex next month so I figured I would have enough time to fix it if I broke something . Yall know its killing me wondering what it will run .Maybe 8.70 154 ?????

Shawn I havent been out for anything but my Lucas Oil Divisionals and National events in awhile . I was gonna go to the new track in Crandall , Dallas Raceway last year at the end of the season but had two bad lifters and pulled the motor . I usually dont get out and play much so I can save the motor . The last time I got out and ran it wide open I went to Redline and met my buddy Eugene Edwards (with the red T-Bird) to run the 580 Top Gun class in Oct of 08 . I lost first round with a 5.807 and a .025 light . It was hard to sandbag with no throttle stop . The truck went 5.701 @ 123 after that . Be safe over there !

LoL, I know Eugene very well. My dad used to run with him and jerry. Do you know Kevin Lumston? I know a bunch of the folk out @ redline, but we normally go to paris because redline gets packed and you dont get to run alot. I think i remember Eugene talking about you when i brought my truck up to his car lot one day. I was joking about outrunning his car and i am almost 100% sure he said a guy named regan wilsons truck would run with it. I almost didn't believe it because them boys got some fast cars.. Ford though :( but oh well. Small world lol.

Me and Eugene go way back . When I finally got my old tank in the eights I mailed him a blown up timeslip . On the envelope it was addressed to "The Bad Red Bird" and the return address was from the "Big Blue Truck" also included in the package were some red feathers . I called the car lot the day it came and his son in law was laughing so hard he couldnt hardly talk . We probably know alot of the same people becuase of all the guys I raced with at Hallsville .
