Any idea what this bench seat is from?
 

I found this seat on CL and am wondering if anyone knows what it came from. Owner knows nothing about it. He got it in a trade. I am looking to replace the seat in my '86 and am curious if it will fit. It has an ashtray in the back of the passanger side backrest so it must have came from something with a back seat. Any info will be appreciated.

i'm guessing here but it looks like something out of an '80's GM car... anyone else??

Hmmm... The upholstery looks GM-ish, and I do remember that my parents' 1985 Buick Century wagon had ashtrays in the back of the front seats -- but I think theirs was a split bench and had headrests. So I'd say it's a decent bet that it's from a GM car of that general vintage.

Im thinkin mid 80's GM something like a Pontiac grand prix or malibu it may not be wide enough to fit in your truck take measurements.
