Lift kit torsion bar?????
ok, i'm putting in a 6" suspension lift in my 2001 gmc. before i took it apart the directions said to mark the torsion bars before romoving them. now, i had them marked but then i took all of my suspension components in to get powder coated and now the marks are gone. i had both ends marked, the lower A-arm and the torsion key. so my question now is, how important is it to have them put back in the EXACT way they came out. cuz now i have no clue.

Re: Lift kit torsion bar?????
not a big issue, just let the alignment shop know what happened. put them back close to the same on both sides, a good alignment shop will make sure the ride height is the same on both sides and correct them as needed. i did the same thing on a 96 ext cab shortbox and the alignment shop fixed me up with no issues, charged me 20 dollars more than a normal alignment.
