Where to buy radiator for my 67?
Hello,
Where can I find a nice 3 or 4 core radiator that will drop right into my 67 chevy pickup? Thanks.....Lumpy ------------------ 67 Chevy,short/fleet,350,4-speed,lowered 4x2,small window,P/S,edelbrock intake/carb,HEI Three Rivers, Ca Pic at: http://community.webshots.com/album/29068416etoBoEninp |
youll have to modify the retainers a little, the 4 core is pretty thick, thicker than 3 core, so., try local auto parts stores, etc

I'm not sure on 67, but the upper and lower brackets being wider on a 4 core than a 2 or 3 core ain't necessarily so. The original 2 core on my 72 had the same size tanks as the new 4 core I put in. If I had went with a 2 or 3 core, I would have had to change to smaller brackets.
Also, if you order from radiator.com you can call to get tech help before you order, but only order through their internet site. If you order over the phone, the invoice will say "no refunds, exchange only". If you order over the net, the site says you can "return for full refund if not satisfied". I know it doesn't make sense, but I had a big hassle returning one I ordered over the phone. ------------------ 72 Sierra Grande - "Maych" sierraG on some boards If a man speaks in the middle of a forest and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong? well at least all of the factory 4 core tanks ive ever seen or had have been way thicker than any 3 core ones. have to trim the metal of the retainers usually, although the 4 core on the 72 blazer fit in the retainers, but it was damned tight, it just depends on what vehicle..
good luck [This message has been edited by Fast68Chevy (edited March 25, 2002).] |
