Project..1962 Bel Air
Well a few weeks back i got this old 62 bel air.. I didnt really know what i got myself into.
First order of bus was to get her running. We did that had to pull the head, to free up some sticky valves. I cleaned the carb, reinstalled the head and had a ton of problems getting it to run, but we finally did and she runs alright burns a lot of oil tho hahah oh well.. and the powerglide was replaced by a turbo 350. But shes pretty solid for Wisconsin here are a few pics. I've got no real plans for her either so this wont be much of a build. Figure i should get this car out of my build thread sin.. http://i927.photobucket.com/albums/a...r/DSCN0810.jpg http://i927.photobucket.com/albums/a...r/DSCN0919.jpg http://i927.photobucket.com/albums/a...r/DSCN0763.jpg |

Re: Project..1962 Bel Air
Wondering if anyone knows if 64 impala seats will fit in this 62 car?
found a good deal... |
Re: Project..1962 Bel Air
got the inner fender off this side cleaned up and painted black really looks nice. the seats/carpets out, floor pans arn't bad besides for under the seat pan. cant seem to find just that pan so i going to have to replace it with a larger pan that includes front pan and rear pan along with under the seat. one hundered fifty something pan and i need 2 along with shipping soooo Christmas presents anyone?
speak of christmas found a really nice 327 for sale guy only wants a hundy for the whole thing thinking of snaggging it for the car. working on getting the other side's fender off. and patching it. should have some pics soon. comment if you want any sooner hah. |

Nice Progress! Yes they will fit. Any Fullsize GM car from 61-64 will have the same seats. |
Re: Project..1962 Bel Air
hey thanks man, i did figure that out the only problem with the seats is that they where for a 2 door and the back seat wouldn't fit so we didn't end up getting them.
well i should have my floor pans soon just place the order. so cant wait to start working on that part of the car. nice progress.. haha thanks man i took a look at your 63 and man does she look nice and tight. i was surprised to see how far its came since the last time i took a peak really looks nice. i hope this car will turn out looking something like that. i cant wait to cut some rust out of this 62. |

i was reading in your thread that you ordered your body parts from eckler i followed your advice and did the same. you said there shipping rates where pretty fair. well today i got an email saying that my package would not cost what they predicted to ship it at its costing me 200+ to ship. is that what you payed i am wondering where i could pick up some panels and not pay so much for shipping? |
Re: Project..1962 Bel Air
