Tach/clock dash ??

Got a question about '76-'78 instrument panels....

Is there a such thing as a mechanical oil pressure/factory tach/factory clock dash ??

If so, where would the fuel gauge go, as there wouldnt be any small holes to put the fuel gauge in, because of the addition of the clock ?!?!?!??!!

I have the opportunity to build a mechanical oil gauge/clock/tach gauge, because I have aquired all three gauges today in a deal I made.

If a panel can be built in this configuration, would it be worth anything ??
Or is this even possible ??

Thanks for any info http://67-72chevytrucks.com/board/ubbhtml/smile.gif

If you take the tach from a 2 ton and up truck usually they had a vacuum gauge or a air pressure guage and the fuel gauge is built into the tach at the bottom which allows an empty pod which you can put a clock or vacuum gauge in.

Oh, another question....

Will a '76 A/C cab underdash wiring harness work for a 78 Non A/C cab ??

If not, how can I make it work ??

Got a person I know who just bought a 78 K-10 LWB, and the PO added lights like marker lights, etc, and really messed the wiring up, the instrument panel gauges all dont work, even after replacing the pannel with another one.
And I trhink the harness in the 76 is prolly good.

They all act as if they are disconnected.
I figured the whole harness gonna need replacement.

Any ideas/tips/info ??
Thanks

Try doing a search on E-Bay for 73-87 Chevy pick ups...I came across some dashes with large tach and small gas guage. Going prices around $125-150
