What size tires?
I just picked up a set of wheels for my '87 Crew Cab R2500 2wd. They are 16x8. My stock wheels are 16x6.5 with 245/75/16 tires on them. Should I go to a 265/75/16 for the wider new wheels? I don't want to put a tire on that looks like it's streched out to beed up. But I also don't want something that's going to interfear with the steering and suspention. My truck has stock suspention, and I'm lookin at just running an allterain tire of some sort.
Thanks for any info or ideas. |
Re: What size tires?
mine are 265/60r16 avatar pic they balloon just a lil (opposite of streched) and give me 8 inches of rubber on the road on a 16x8 rim all i've found tire wise is bf goodrich t/a radials and cooper cobras

Stick with either the LT245/75R16 or if you want a taller and wider tire go to the LT265's. Load range "D" should be the minimum you consider depending on the usage the truck sees or if it does any towing. |
