Steering wheels

I'm changing from a blue interior, and want some kind of black steering wheel, What all steering wheels fit on a 1971 column? any Pics?

I just changed mine out with a black one from an early 90's four spoke wheel from a 92' Silverado. Looks great. Sorry I don't have any pics yet.

If it's a direct bolt on, I think a 92 silverado has a nice thick comfortable wheel, and would look sharp..

It's a direct bolt-up but the horn assembly is different. I've still got to figure this one out. Hopefully I can just change the internal ring (slides on the column before bolting on the wheel) to the newer style. I'm still learning.

I wonder if you could use part of the adapter kits for the Grant wheels to get the horn working?

Re: Steering wheels

When I put power steering on my '67 I wanted a smaller wheel than the big thing that was on there for the manual steering. I used one from a late '80s Chevy Z24 Cavalier similar to the one below. The one I got it from had round gauges and I took the tach. I do think that is the same wheel, but the cross bars look more horizontal than in that camera angle.
The rim and horn button is black on mine. They are a soft material and the rim is fat and comfortable. The center has a Quarter size black button with a red Bow Tie. Ready to go if you have a Chevy truck.
I don't remember exactly how I did it, but I cut the center out of the Cavalier button. The attachment ring on the round metal GMC button, reaches through the Cavalier button and attaches like it always did.

I am pretty sure, most pre' 1995 wheels will work on our trucks. Trevor
