Introducing Myself and my new build.
5 Attachment(s)
Hey everyone. I just started working on my blazer in late March. I wanted to look at some other rigs and stumbled into this site. After reading hours of posts and realizing how cool everyone seemed to be I decided to start a thread.
My truck and I reside in Yakima WA. I have been taking snapshots of my progress as I go. The blazer is a 72 4x4. I have the frame down at Finish Line here in Yakima to be powder coated now. Here are some pics also. That's my dad welding on the frame in his diesel truck bodyshop. |

Re: Introducing Myself and my new build.
Thanks everyone for the warm greeting. I will post some more pics in a few days. Right now I am waiting for the frame to get done and I am currently peeling off a bunch of spray on bed liner.
I found surface rust under a portion of the bed liner so I decided to get it all up so I can properly take care of the cancer. My daily driver is a 72 4x4 longbed. I (like the rest of you) love this body style. |
Re: Introducing Myself and my new build.
Looks like a pretty solid K5. Welcome to the site and will be fun watching your progress. Be sure to jump to the 4x4 subforum and post some pics of your 72 there.

Still no word from the folks down at Finish Line. I told them there was no rush though. I'll probably call them on Friday to see what the ETA would be.
I peeled off another big chunk of bed liner. I got one big piece left, then I will be moving on to cutting out all the rust. |

Re: Introducing Myself and my new build.
Here is a quick video of a 67Camaro my dad built. He built the entire thing from the ground up. Its a pretty wicked ride. You may want to fast forward to bout the last 2 min of the video. It was my first time editing one and I didnt do a very good job.
Great video but we had some pm's with concerns with the language....we need to keep language family friendly. |
Re: Introducing Myself and my new build.
Nice blazer project ... Welcome to the board...

Re: Introducing Myself and my new build.
Hey everyone!
I wanted to formally apologize for the language in the video. I hope someone caught it before it may have offended anyone. That video is old and I completely forgot we were swearing up a storm. Thanks all! |

Here are some pictures of my frame. I got it back from Finish Line here in Yakima. They did a great job. It looks awesome. It will proably be a good bit before I make another post. I am saving some $ so that I can get my lift kit, tires and rims here. Super excited to have my frame back though!
