2005 Tahoe question
 

I picked up a used 05 Tahoe. Never had a "newer" GM vehicle before, so pardon the silly question.

The Tahoe is loaded, and came with two remotes...one smaller for locking/unlocking the doors, the other larger one has the remote start features and such (but no locking/unlocking features).

From the factory, would those have been the only two remotes?

I would think there would be a pair of remotes (not just one) for locking/unlocking...and perhaps only one for the remote start.

Does anyone here have an 05, or know this answer?

The dealership said these are the only two that would have come with the vehicle new.

All remote starts I've seen from GM are on the same remote with the lock/unlock/panic remote. Basically an all in one remote. You probably have an aftermarket remote start there, just my guess.

They didn't have a remote start from the factory till 07. Yours probably has an aftermarket alarm/remote start added to it.

Yep. The remote Randy posted is 07-up. The only difference teh smaller remotes would have is one would have a "1" and the other a "2" on the back to denote driver 1 & 2. You might have the GM accessory remote start kit on there, which could have been dealer installed. Can you post a pic of the remotes?
