2-WD to 4-WD Suburban?

I've been wanting to convert my 72 Suburban 2-WD to 4-WD for some time now. I found a 79 4-WD Suburban 3/4 ton today that I may be able to get for about 6 or 7 hundred bucks. My question is, would my 72 body fit on the 79 frame without a lot of fabrication? The 79 has auto-locking hubs, it this good or bad? Any help would be appreciated.

By the way, the 79 has a 350 with auto. trans. It started right up and sounded pretty good. The frame looked good (no rust) and the transfer case and front and rear ends were dry.
