Advice on Tire sizes fitting.....

I have a 69 stock height 6 lug step side. Will these fit? If so, will they look good or will that leave too much of a gap between tire and fender?

Tire sizes front are 255 35 20
Rear are 285 35 22

The rims are 20X9 Front 5.5 bs and 22X10 rear with 6"BS

anybody know actual tire height for these sizes?

www.tirerack.com

If you check tires by size and then choose a tire and look at the specs you will get a good idea of overall diameter.

I am looking at a similar set up and the 285/35/22 is listed as (30.1")

I am looking at 255/45/20 (29.1") so I imagine your choice would be closer to a 28.5" tire

Not a ton of info with pictures showing static dropped 20/22 trucks. I want to go just low enough to tuck tire. (4.5/5 -7" drop I imagine)

Here are a couple 5/7 drops with bigger rims...imho your gonna need to be in the weeds for that rim/tire combo to look good.

A great place to play around with different wheel and tire sizes with various backspacings.

All I can do is compare the specs you have listed to what I have on my truck.

On the front I have 255/50/17 (27.1" diameter) on 17x8 with 4.5bs.

According to the site above, the combo you have listed would be .1" shorter (27" overall) and .5" closer to the frame.

On the back I have 275/60/17 (30" diameter) on 17x8 with 4.5bs.

Again, the combo you have would be .1" shorter (29.9" overall) and .7" closer to the frame (a good thing as mine stick out too far [I'm having to convert a six lug axle to five lug to gain the clearance I need]).

So yes, they will fit. In order to look good you will need to lower the truck. At least a 4/6 I would think.

Here's my truck aired up (you can see the front wheel looks kinda funny).

And aired out (now we're talking).
