Re: Is it worth 6k?
I'm going to move this to the WIW forum.
Hard to tell from those pics. Can you get some cleaner ones, and some of the interior? Is the front end jacked up as high a it looks, or is the angle of the driveway messing with the effect? |
Re: Is it worth 6k?
6 is pushing it, i'd want an imaculate body/clean engine bay for that much and a damn nice interior

Overall, if there's no rust, a solid drivetrain, interior, paint, etc. they I would say that $6k isn't that bad of a price. Where else can you buy a solid truck for that kind of money? First and foremost make sure the truck hasn't been hacked when lowering, etc. The wheels can always been changed and sold if you don't like them. Just think... it could look like this. :D Attachment 578216 Attachment 578217 Attachment 578218 |
Re: Is it worth 6k?
If it looks as good as it does in the pics it would bring 6k around here.

Re: Is it worth 6k?
I'd check this out, dude. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/1713882887.html
found this yesterday. he's asking $1500 more, and claims this is a '76 (not smog exempt). |
Re: Is it worth 6k?
Is it worth 6k? It depends on a lot, but it might be. Is it a fairly original and a factory BB, A/C truck? I will assume that its been repainted, which could be a +/- depending on the quality. If you don't consider your self as very knowledgeable in paint and body, then I suggest you find some one that really is to look it over.
If it truly is a premium quality repaint, with the body work done correctly, it goes way up in value. If you suspect ANY bad work, cut corners, poor finish, then adjust accordingly. You state that it has " 81-87 suburban bucket seats and console (red interior)" but I don't see bucket seats in the pics. If it has that series of bucket seats they would be high back. If that is not correct, this "might" be a factory bucket seat truck. I would look at the SPID if it is still intact, and determine what options it had from the factory. If this is a high optioned truck, you might have a pretty nice buy. BTW- I attempted to convert the text from the C/L ad listed- Bonita 1976 454 Chevy 400ss truck wheels transmission 20 "in excellent condition with sound big effort to change or crew cab nissan colorado, canyon difference payment call 1-408-966-1789 thanks Nate- Thank you for the kind words on my truck. Your check is in the mail...;) |
