Pinion Angle Shims
I just put 5 inch drop coils and 1 1/2'' blocks from CPP, 6 1/2'' drop now and I was wondering if anyone else has done this and what degree pinion angle shims they used and where to get them. thanks

Re: Pinion Angle Shims
CPP has the shims...Are you using a single driveshaft or the stock two-piece?
The truck arms are basically a ladder bar, so the diff yoke naturally rotates downward with the lowering. What I'm more concerned with when lowering the rear is that the driveshaft gap becomes shorter, often too short! Flip kits on leaf-sprung trucks usually compensate for this some by moving the spring pin hole forward 3/4", moving the axle back that far. I lowered my burb 2" with blocks and while it did tighten that distance some for my single driveshaft, it's not going to bottom in the trans, so I'm good! |
