True beginner question

Hi everyone,

This is going to be a pretty basic question but i have just bought a 68 and the front side-marker lights are the double kind like on the Firebird and the rear side-marker lights are the solid rectangle kind. Is this set-up right? What did the 68 come stock with?

i am curious too. my 68 has the solid kind. i actually like them better because i have virtually no trim being it is a stepper. i do have chrome around grill and eyebrows.
did the "split" of firebird ones come on csts or trimmed out trucks?

Sounds like your current set up is a mix. The "split" side markers are usually sold as "deluxe" markers. Someone else may be able to give more info but I believe the deluxe markers were used on CST/Custom type trucks while the solid side markers were used for base models.

The Marker Lights with the two chrome trim rings are for 1969-72 CST & Cheyenne Trucks.

Thank you. That blows for me though because I like the double one's.

You can always change them out.

That's true, I don't mind making customizations that can be reversed to stock easily. Good point.

And they are relatively cheap, I think you can get the deluxe ones for about $10 ea.
