Under bed what fuel line?
 

What are you guys who have moved the tank under the bed doing for fuel lines? Hard line? Braided steel line? I would like to see pics if ya got 'em.

I'm running 3/8" steel hard line on mine. I got two of the longest pieces available and joined them together with a double female inverted flare fitting. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the passenger inside frame rail where it runs.

If you go with hard line, my personal opinion is to avoid the new green or black hand formable tubing. I stick with the old silver hard line which is still available at some of the independent parts stores. Using expensive English roller tubing benders, the green/black stuff is the only tubing I've ever had kink and fold over in many decades of forming tubing.

i always aneal them with a gas enriched acetyling torch, they will not crimp, its softens the metal just enough, also great for reflaring them, are you going to run a return line back to the tank...?

I used Galvanized Zinc Fuel Line from Jegs. It is already annealed and is really easy to work with.

which would make life easier if you didnot have a torch, I`m still considering the use of your tank, just haven`t committed yet, I`m surpprised you didnot run a return line back to the tank. in any case really nice job:thumbs:

Bob Drake has 49-52 Chevy tanks on sale now for $131.25 (their P/N C4952-9200) but I am unsure as to if it has a bolt on filler neck or a stock welded one. Not sure the welded on one would work.

And I didn't run a return line to the tank 'casue I don't need one with a carb.

I guess I'm old school with brake lines. I use two lenghts of steel brake line for the under bed long line.
