My 88 3+3
Just picked this up yesterday, 1988 Chevy 3+3 350 with a 3 speed and granny low.....
Has some surface rust, and needs a bed....(looking for one so if you have one let me know) Its 2 wheel drive 1 ton its a pulling sob!! Got a crx with no motor tranny or wiring harness for free off a buddy of mine, traded it for a running and driving conversion van (****box) and traded the van for this.... So really paid nothing for it..............Runs perfect no knocks no weird sounds no nothing......Let me know what you guys think...... Plans for it is lift on 40s so i need a front axle, spring and independent transfer case too.... took it out in a little pond type thing behind my house thats spring fed fell off in a never ending hole......lol but good fun http://s2.postimage.org/JduUA.jpg http://s2.postimage.org/JdxoJ.jpg http://s2.postimage.org/JdzTS.jpg http://s2.postimage.org/JdCo0.jpg |
Re: My 88 3+3
Nice score, although it really belongs in the '73-'87 area. :chevy:

Re: My 88 3+3
Yes, it's an '88, but it's a carryover of the '73-'87 bodystyle. Crew cabs, Suburbans and Blazers/Jimmys continued the square bodystyle through the '91 model year, so there is some overlap. I have an '88 crew cab as well. When I have something to discuss about it, I check in the '73-'87 area because those are the guys who are going to know. Besides a very few little parts, our '88s really have nothing in common with the '88-'98 GMT-400 trucks.
So, when it comes down to asking tech questions about your truck, you'll get more and better informed responses from the '73-'87 area. |
