Pics of A/C lines
I was working on starting to install my A/C lines tonight. There is a hole in the core support, but my lines don't fit though it with my condenser where it is.
I saw some pics of a Vintage Air condenser with the lines coming out horizontal. I got my condenser from Old Air, and the lines enter/exit vertically (towards each other) I believe this is the original way to do it. I also got new A/C hard lines from LMC that also seem to be set up for this orientation. |

Is this what you're looking for?
This is how the original A/C lines are run through the core support on the 1970. http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s...e/P1030059.jpg http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s...e/P1030058.jpg A/C lines running under the batter box. http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s...e/P1030057.jpg |
Re: Pics of A/C lines
Hey thanks for the pictures....that got me started in the right direction.
However, the 4.0 answer is: There is a dimple where the hole is to be drilled (1-1/4") for the lines to pass through. Additionally, there are also 2 smaller holes that need to be drilled for the dryer (.199 - .203" Dia) I found this in my assembly manual....guess I should have consulted it in the first place :) |
