What's the verdict on Air Bag size?
Okay guys,
Im going to pull the trigger on the air bags for the C20, but I need to know from those that have done the air bags. What is the biggest size I can run on the front? 7" or 8"? I plan on running 8" in back, but have a big block in the front and want the right size bags. I'm not looking to slam the burb, just lower 2-4 inches and smooth out the ride. I am still running 8 lug wheels front and back. Can I run 8" bags in the front, or will they rub? Any help is greatly appreciated. Shawn |

I'm using RE-7, http://www.truckshop.com/product.php?productid=20343
I think a fair amount of us are, I've had no complaints. Al. |

Shawn, I looked and I'm running Dominator D2600 Bags, here's the specs on them.
Height range from 6.0 to 9.0" with a 9.7" usable stroke. Maximum pressure of 600 PSI. 1/2" port. Better spec here... http://gravity-werx.com/d2600specsheet.aspx |
Re: What's the verdict on Air Bag size?
Thanks for the info so far guys. I am looking at slam specialtis since they have the built in bump stop. I'm just not sure width wise if the re-8 is too big for the control arms etc and if they will rub on anything. I probably would be fine withe the re7, but I wanted to go re-8 in th back for towing, etc. I thought it would be better to do the same in the fro t with the big block and all. Maybe I'm trying to overkill though.

Re: What's the verdict on Air Bag size?
RE7 on my 3/4T, 26' trailer, 450lbs. tongue weight. BB in front (albeit a caddy 500) with the RE7 what you see is what you get width wise. RE7 replaced the coils and I haven't changed the front yet. I may not. When I lower the back, the front comes down proportionately. My buddy didn't think the ride/alignment would be any good with the mixed bags/coils but it works great. It impressed him.

SS RE7's front and rear on my BBC Burb. Ride is great.
